I am a dissident philosopher disguised as a songwriter. Mush is my nickname. I was once jokingly described as “Mad. Mad as a fish” by a recording engineer flabbergasted by my antics. It was funny, but this became my artist pseudo – I saw it fitting as I battled with life and myself. But as time went by, I came to see “Mad Mush” as a description of our mad world, rather than a fitting name for me.

I don’t claim authority, wisdom, or special insight. I simply describe what I see: 
the systems that fail us, the willingness to sacrifice those of us who are weaker rather than stick together and help each other, the individuals we discard, and the moments of humanity that refuse to die.

I’m only one voice among many who recognise the madness, choosing to speak rather than remain silent.
