From the recording The Rape of E Jean Carroll
This is a song inspired by the fact that so many people in the most powerful land in the world, voted for a rapist for their finest office. Drawing a parallel to the medieval stories of maiden sacrifice (remember the beginning of King Kong?)
Lyrics
Deep in the jungle in a land faraway
A city lived in fear, they'd all forgotten how to pray
They built a wall to shield them from the horror that held sway
The fear was contagious and kept rising day by day
Where will you draw the line?
The fear of destruction started driving them insane
They heard the monster trawl outside the walls in the rain
In desperation they picked out a maiden to be slain
And threw her off the wall and waited for her bane
But the monster was the fear that resided in them all
And in worshipping the monster, they were at its beck and call
Because they had no love, they sacrificed one of their own
And they never read the words that you must reap what you have sown
